Seamill Solitude

Sea, sand...but definately no sun.
A long energetic walk along the beach was the order of the day today... our favourite! Lowest tide for a while, so lots more space & sand to run around daft on and not another soul or dog in sight. We got all this beach to ourselves! This wind and cold is definately not the norm for the middle of May, we'd normally be paddling & cooling off in the sea for most of our walk. It's just as well we've got fur coats to keep us warm & cosy!

Peek-a-boo!
Two happy but tired pups.

Space to race & chase.

4 legs are better than 2

Dad thinks he's so clever being able to scramble & rock climb but he forgets that we've got four-wheel drive, scuttled up there in two seconds!

Top dog learns a lesson

Well today was a fun-filled adventure as always. On the way back to the car we spot a cool little pack of doggy dudes. 6 or 7 wolfy looking characters hanging out, so we decide to head over see whats happening. We are commanded "down & stay" so our human friends can go over an introduce themselves. After a few minutes i (Drift) decide enough of this waiting around malarky, i'm just going to saunter over smartly and check out this new crew. At about the distance of 6 feet, out of nowhere there is an almighty pack lunge and barking & howling in unison. Oh my god what to do, run away, crawl, go left, go right, play dead, AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!! Quickly i decide best policy is to slink away, my belly almost dragging on the ground and hide behind Dad. Hopefully no-one noticed? Lesson learned, i may be top dog in my little two dog world, but that doesn't mean jack when you face a whole pack of Huskies.

Eying up the interloper!
Was a pleasure meeting the GOBSHITES and their wolfpack. They are a cracking bunch of folk based in the North-East that meet up to excercise their dogs and do a bit of fundraising for The Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain Welfare & Rescue. A friendly wee group & great ambassadors for the great work the club do in rescuing & rehoming unwanted & mis-treated Siberian Huskies. You can have a look at the clubs website or their page on facebook.

Loch-side

A few April showers about but still managed to make the most of some more Spring sunshine on the banks of Loch Lomond. As usual lots of swimming, chasing balls & scrambling about on the rocky shoreline. Two happy pups in our element!!
