Sunny Seaside

Well we are a couple of spoiled pups...another afternoon at our most favourite of places... THE BEACH!! Although a different beach from the usual and joined by one of our doggy pals, Tam. Having said that Tam is not overly enamoured with other 4-legged friends and is at his happiest when we just ignore him! So we shared a walk, run and swim without actually acknowledging he was even there... best policy for a confrontation free fun-filled day!

Mind Games

Sunny Summer Sundays ... down at our favourite beach and Miss Mel throws us a total curve ball... Normally she's the one standing with her feet planted firmly on dry land & we're the ones that have to go doggy paddling half way to Arran & back to fetch the ball... so we could not get our heads around the fact she was bobbing around in the water, having a splashing good time, throwing the ball for us but not being so impressed when we retrieve it to the safety of the shoreline! "You're supposed to be standing out here throwing this ball!"

Mr Finn - "I believe I can move this ball with my mind, I must believe, just roll a little bit!"

Mr Finn - "Its just a small matter of mind over matter, roll, roll, roll, ROLL...."
Mr Drift - " I'm telling you buddy, you cannot move it, you're wasting your time!

Enjoying the last little bit of warm golden light of another crackin'day at the beach. Contented pups!

Hot Dogs!

So finally its here....summer!! Its so nice to get out in the bright sunshine instead of the winter half light. All we've heard for the last month or so is "What's going on with the weather?". "When summer going to start?", "I'm fed up with this rain"... blah blah blah! Truth is we don't really care all that much about what the weather is like, rain, hail or snow we just want to run around, stretch our legs and have fun but really we prefer the icy cold crispness of winter! Our everyday adventure is normally around our local park, which we love, especially nosing around the wilder wooded areas and bouncing about in the long grass and wild flowers that have grown so tall & lush over the last couple of weeks with the warmth & wetness.

We also love to sprint up and down the steep hills, beating the ball to the bottom and fetching it to bring back... only to be chucked back down again before we can even catch breath! Repeat this 20 times and your tongue would be dragging on the ground too... I don't know why everyone finds the length of our tongues so hilarious!! But in the warm sunshine and humid temperatures of this season we really just want to go find a tree to loll under, a nice cool shady patch with a little breeze to cool us down.

So we take our time, meandering back up the hill with a little detour for a rest, relax and breather... maybe we should send Miss Mel up & down the hill in a fur suit in 20 degrees temperature, i don't think we'd be very popular for long...

Our favourite place at this time of year is the beach with the cold Atlantic sea on tap for a nice chilled cool-down and a fresh on-shore breeze in our whiskers.
